Terms and Conditions (Consumer Services)
1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the provision of services by Paragon IT Ltd (“the Supplier”) to individuals and consumers (“the Client”).
1.2 By engaging with the Supplier, the Client agrees to these terms in full.
2. Definitions
- Supplier: Paragon IT Ltd
- Client: The individual receiving services from the Supplier.
- Services: IT support, PC repairs, hardware sales, network installation, data recovery, and related technical assistance.
- Agreement: This document, along with any written Service Agreements.
3. Consumer Rights & Compliance
3.1 The Client’s rights under this Agreement are supplemented by statutory consumer protections, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and applicable regulations.
3.2 Nothing in this Agreement overrides the Client’s legal rights in respect of refunds, returns, or quality of service guarantees.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Fees are payable in Pound Sterling (£), inclusive of applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.
4.2 Full payment is required upon completion of services, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
5.1 Cooling-Off Period:
- Under UK law, the Client may cancel within 14 days of purchasing remote services for a full refund, unless service delivery has already begun.
- For physical services (e.g., repairs, installations), cancellations must occur before work commences to be eligible for refunds.
5.2 Refund Eligibility:
- Refunds are not available for successfully completed repairs, data recovery attempts, or fully delivered services.
- Refunds are granted only if the Supplier fails to provide the agreed service or delivers an unsatisfactory result.
- For faulty products, the Client has 30 days to request a return or replacement.
6. Consumer Responsibilities
6.1 The Client must back up all data before submitting devices for repair.
6.2 The Client agrees to provide access and cooperation for scheduled services.
7. Service-Specific Terms
7.1 PC Repairs
- Repairs follow industry best practices. The Supplier is not liable for any loss of data unless caused by negligence.
- Estimated repair times are approximate and may vary based on parts availability.
7.2 IT Support
- Monthly IT support contracts include remote troubleshooting and assistance, with response times outlined in separate agreements.
- Support outside of the agreed scope incurs additional charges.
7.3 Network Installation
- The Supplier installs, configures, and tests networks but is not liable for issues caused by third-party providers.
- Additional costs apply for modifications outside the agreed scope.
7.4 Data Recovery
- Recovery services are provided on a best-efforts basis with no guarantee of success.
- Fees are due regardless of recovery outcome unless otherwise agreed.
7.5 Custom-Built PCs
- The Supplier provides specifications and quotes for consumer-grade custom PCs prior to assembly.
- The Client is responsible for ensuring all installed software is properly licensed.
8. Liability & Dispute Resolution
8.1 The Supplier limits liability to direct losses up to 125% of fees paid for the affected service.
8.2 Disputes will first be handled via negotiation, followed by mediation if unresolved within 30 days.
9. Force Majeure
9.1 Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond their control, including natural disasters, supplier failures, or strikes.
10. Governing Law
10.1 This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
10.2 The Client retains all statutory consumer rights under UK consumer protection laws.
